Song On Repeat #26: Go Outside

I have a new song stuck in my head. I have been listening to this for 72 hours non-stop. Reminds me of just going out and doing whatever. This is my new track for the weekend. 🙂

This is not the original video, I just chose this because the real one had some video footage from the Jonestown Massacre. I do not like and try not to think about the Jonestown Massacre; it’s so scary and freaky. If you haven’t heard of it, the Jonestown massacre is one of the most tragic events in history. Before 9/11, Jonestown was the largest single loss of American life in a non-natural disaster. Led by Jim Jones, they were a group (I’m not sure if religious) that believed in social equality and what-not. They had this cult-settlement in Guyana and I could only imagine that it was a hell hole! The members were brainwashed, made to live in unbearable conditions, and were not allowed to leave the place. Eventually, their leader urged them to drink poisoned Kool Aid telling them that it was “revolutionary suicide”. 900+ people died, this included infants, children, and adults. Hence the saying, “Don’t drink the Kool Aid!” What bad press for Kool Aid!

I would go into detail about this but I don’t want to ruin the vibe of the song (although I think I already have). If you would like to know more about this, I suggest you read up on it here or watch this vid. Very interesting, promise.
